Launch of the online tool "What strengthens us?"
26. November 2024Where do psychological traumas come from? To what extent are trauma-sensitive practices needed in democracy education? And: What might these educational approaches look like? The symposium on the project “What strengthens us? Trauma-sensitive democracy education” and the accompanying online tool provide answers to these questions.

The conference “What strengthens us? Trauma-sensitive democracy education”, which took place on 22nd November in Berlin, marked the conclusion of the associated project, which runs from March 2023 through December 2024. Fifty professionals from various educational institutions across Germany attended the conference to gain fascinating insights and hear presentations from experts on the topic of trauma-informed education.
A highlight of the conference was the launch of the online tool, which features appropriate concepts and methods that the participants had developed together beforehand. Those interested can use it to acquire the knowledge they need for trauma-sensitive democracy education.
