My Story – Your Story
How did people in Germany and Poland experience the period after the Second World War? What experiences, losses, and new beginnings continue to shape their stories to this day?
In the “My Story – Your Story” project, young people from Poland and Germany come together and set out on a journey of discovery. For example, they learn how people lost their homes and had to start over elsewhere, who courageously stood up against National Socialism, and how the media were used for propaganda purposes at the time to deliberately influence public opinion.
This is not just about facts, but about personal perspectives: every family and every country has its own story. And yet, despite the many differences, there are also similarities that can bring us closer together. The special relationship between Germany and Poland will also be explored.
