Once upon today… in Europe

How do we tell history, and who is included in it? In “Once upon today… in Europe,” youth workers from various countries sought to find answers to these questions. They examined how historical events in Europe are commemorated, what is told and in what form, and what sometimes remains hidden. The focus was on historical narratives and storytelling methods, but also on the personal stories of the participants. Equally important were the perspectives within the different countries, which have a lasting impact on European remembrance culture. This created a space that demonstrates: Every voice is important and contributes to ensuring that Europe’s history is and remains diverse.
