What does it mean to lose your homeland and start over somewhere else? People from across Europe have explored this question in depth. Taking the end of the Second World War as their starting point, they have learned what impact fleeing one’s home, displacement, and deportation can have on individuals and society. In doing so, they have also built bridges to the present. Through encounters, conversations, and creative formats, new perspectives on migration have emerged. In the end, one thing became clear: history only repeats itself if we do not listen, do not understand, and do not act.
